First, we’ll talk – by phone, over email, on Zoom, or in person. Whatever suits your timescale and the type of project. Each job is unique and has its own variable factors which we’ll discuss, so that the scope of the work is agreed at the outset.

 

Nature of project

I’m happy with one-off projects – such as editing a book for publication, whether it’s a novel, a biography or a memoir – or with recurring assignments such as articles or newsletters. I’ll create the copy or edit it or proofread it so that the result exceeds your expectations

 

Fee agreed upfront

Whether the job’s large or small, you’ll receive a cost-effective service with fees agreed at the outset. I only bill for what you get – not for set-up or admin

 

Working flexibly

I’ll work to your timescales. I can quote by the hour, but many jobs take longer so they’ll be quoted by the day or on a project basis

 

Changes to the brief

Sometimes, the brief needs to change, or the work has to be put on hold, due to unexpected circumstances. You’ll find me fully amenable to changing situations – life happens!  We’ll agree a revised brief or a future date when the work can resume

 

Building a good rapport

My approach is based on establishing a good rapport with you, and keeping in touch as the job progresses.        I want you to feel your money is well-spent and the job’s been well done

 

Afterwards …

I hope you will be happy with my work. If there are unresolved issues remaining or new input is required, perhaps due to feedback from other sources, I will do my utmost to accommodate whatever is needed to deliver a project that every stakeholder can be happy with
