“Helen Johns was asked to edit a memoir of my life written for friends and family into something rather more readable; I am fairly dyslexic, so she had a challenging job in which she has succeeded admirably and with great patience. Fortunately, the dyslexia enhanced my career, if anything, inasmuch as I am convinced that dyslexic people often have rather good visual memory as opposed to word memory. Furthermore, Helen was immersed in a world of neurosurgical words most of which were new and rather puzzling for her, but she coped admirably with these challenges with good humour. I would not hesitate to use her again if I have the need of an editor.”
